Dear Habibis,

Linear time certainly does seem to fly by with increasing speed as this year draws to a close. It seems like only a few weeks ago that we were about to return from Mother Egypt to North America. I was feeling sad at that prospect, sure I would miss all of you and not at all sure if I would like resuming my "regular" life. Where would be the daily adventures, and most importantly, the communion with my dear fellow adventurers?

I wanted to gift everyone with some small token, as a remembrance. I had the intention of folding a small origami boat for everyone. What better symbol for our trip up the Nile than a boat? And made by hand, with a full heart. But, alas! Before I could fold a single one, we arrived in New York and scattered like the proverbial leaves in the wind.

A few weeks later, Jorge and I were in Buenos Aires, visiting his family. "Coincidentally", across the street from our hotel was a charming little shop stuffed with all kinds of minerals, gems and semi-precious stones from all over the world., including rhodochrosite, a stone whose gem-grade form is found primarily in Argentina. This semi-precious stone, being pink, is said to contain the vibration of love. The idea came that I could send you all little chunks of this beautiful stone, like sending little pieces of love, instead of the paper boats. Sharing my thoughts with Jorge, he said "Ah! Good idea. But perhaps the shop has rhodochrosite pyramids..?"

So here is our remembrance to you all - rather late, but no less heartfelt. Laurel and Katie were able to receive theirs in person when they were here in California earlier this year. Would that we could have given them to everyone in person.....!

May these little pyramids serve to remind you of Egypt and our journey together and help bring all of Love's blessings into every facet of your lives.
